Announced the expansion of the city’s Cultural Institutions Group (CIG) with five new members: BRIC, the Bronx Children’s Museum, the Louis Armstrong House Museum, the Noble Maritime Collection, and Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater (PRTT). As the largest expansion of the CIG in nearly five decades, these organizations—each operating on city-owned property—will receive substantial subsidies and capital investment from the city in exchange for providing publicly accessible cultural programming for all New Yorkers.”
